Yeah - it reminds me of JKR wondering why Snape and Draco were so popular. But it's also kind of naive of an author to *not* realize that people are probably going to react that way to that kind of character. If Kubo knew what people thought about Ulquiorra, he'd probably be creeped out, too.

Probably. He most likely just went "GOD SHUT UP" and threw them a bone before getting rid of him altogether. Kind of like what he did with Ulquiorra!
